PDC 2009 – Session Videos

For those of us who were unable to attend, Microsoft has provided videos and PPT files of the various sessions at http://microsoftpdc.com/. Browse the videos available at http://microsoftpdc.com/Videos.

I’ve finally gotten around to watching a few of them. Here are the highlights I’ve found thus far:

“Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Kernel Changes” presented by Mark. Russinovich. For those not familiar with Russinovich, he is extremely knowledgeable and has a gift for explaining technical topics clearly and concisely. This presentation is broken up over two sessions: http://microsoftpdc.com/Sessions/P09-20 and http://microsoftpdc.com/Sessions/CL29.

“Building Your Administration GUI over Windows PowerShell” presented by Kenneth Hansen and Narayanan Lakshmanan: http://microsoftpdc.com/Sessions/SVR12. I have not yet watched this one, but it could be useful for those who need to pass a script on to end users or other admin staff.

“Windows PowerShell: An Automation Toolbox for Building Solutions That Span Small Businesses, Enterprises, and Cloud Services” also presented by Kenneth Hansen and Narayanan Lakshmanan.
